Adopted September 13, 2000
The Restoration and Protection Committee and its subcommittees, Project Review, Protection, Feasibility and Monitoring, are charged to review proposed projects and make recommendations regarding endorsement to the Council. To fulfill this charge members may, at their discretion, undertake site visits. Procedures for the conduct of such site visits are as follows:
1. The subcommittee decides on the need for a site visit and designates an individual, usually the Technical Coordinator, to make the necessary arrangements.
2. The Technical Coordinator contacts the project sponsor and together they work out the details of a visit, namely date, time and duration, names/affiliations of participants, and how best to structure the event to meet the needs of both landowner and reviewers.
3. The Technical Coordinator represents the Council and conveys to the project sponsor the reason for the site visit and what the subcommittee members will need to see to make the trip worthwhile.
4. The project sponsor acts as the liaison between the landowner and the Council, makes the necessary arrangements with the landowner and briefs the landowner on why the site visit is necessary and what to expect.
