Mission
To preserve, protect and enhance sport fisheries and the resources on which fisheries depend.

Primary Programs/Projects

  • Education and information on sport-fishing and resource protection.
  • Delayed release salmon salt-water net pen projects to provide sport-fishing opportunities without over-fishing wild stocks.
  • Political advocacy for the sport-fishing public.

Reason for Participating on the Skagit Watershed Council
Enhancement and protection of sport fish and improved salt-water sport-fishing opportunities. An organized plan to enhance endangered fish species which will make listing under the Endangered Species Act unnecessary.
