Mission
There are three primary missions:

  • We are the land manager for state and county owned forest agricultural and aquatic lands.
  • We are responsible for regulating the forest industry on private and state lands through the Forest Practices Act.
  • We provide fire protection for private and state forestlands.

Primary Programs/Projects
We are a large landowner actively managing significant forestland within the Skagit Watershed. We administer the Forest Practices Act on private and state forestlands.

Reason for Participating on the Skagit Watershed Council
We want to participate in information sharing regarding needs and opportunities for habitat protection and restoration in the Watershed. Develop ways to work cooperatively (where possible) to accomplish restoration and protection work.
