The Skagit is a place of incredible beauty, amazing people, and abundant natural resources. The Skagit Watershed Council is launching an Facebook photo contest to showcase our Skagit home as experienced by people who live, work, and play in this place we love – Our Skagit. This is all about connecting the people, places, and natural abundance that make Skagit a special place to live!
We believe that a healthy community contributes to protecting what it loves – its natural beauty and resource, its cultural richness and history, its people, and its future. We invite people who love to share photos to celebrate Our Skagit with their best photos for each of four seasons.
Twelve winning photos will be selected for inclusion in the Skagit Watershed Council’s 2018 calendar. The ‘Seasons of Skagit’ Photo Contest will run four times over the next year inviting contributors to submit up to 3 photos for each season’s contest. The contest will select a first, second, and third place winner for every season. Prizes are 1st place – $150, 2nd place – $100, and 3rd place – $50.
