"Colors of the Sea" - Age 9. It celebrates the colors of the sea and the salmon
"Cotton Candy Sunset" - Age 6. Every night the sunset is so beautiful. Sometimes it looks like yummy cotton candy.

"Grogu (Baby Yoda)" - Age 10. My luminary is Grogu (Baby Yoda) because I like to hike on the trails near my house and pretend I'm the Mandalorian, saving Baby Yoda. I used paper to hold up his head and used glowsticks supported by sticks for his big ears.
"Orca in Eel Grass" - Age 9. My luminary represents the orca's that eat 99% of the salmon.

"Salish Sushi" - Age 9 (image 1 of 3). My luminary represents the food cycle in the Salish Sea, and celebrates the importance of plants and animals being healthy so they can eat and survive. The salmon represent the food for the Orca, and the eel grass is a place for salmon to eat.

"Salmon Life Cycle" - Age 9 (image 1 of 3). Mine celebrates the life cycle of the salmon. The way it does this is I have made the eggs, the alvein swimming away from the eggs, there is a fry and a smolt in the seaweed or grass hiding. There is also an adult silver salmon in the sea and then returning to the Skagit river to mate.

"Skagit Sunset & Sea" - Age 6 (image 1 of 2). It celebrates my memory of driving across the bridge and imagining all the fish below. Maybe there are whales, too, sometimes! And what's better and more magical than sunsets?!?
