Organization Description and Mission:
Re Sources is an environmental non-profit with over 20,000 supporters in Northwest Washington. We operate primarily in Whatcom and Skagit Counties.
Our mission is to promote sustainable communities and protect the health of Northwest Washington’s people through application of science, education, advocacy and action.
Primary Programs/Projects:
We have four main program areas: the ReStore, Clean Water, Clean energy and Sustainable Schools.
The Clean Water Program houses the North Sound Baykeeper, a member of the international Waterkeeper Alliance. We also work on the local and state policy levels and engage citizens and partner organizations in ensuring clean and plentiful water for farms. fish and people.
Reason for Joining the Skagit Watershed Council:
We believe the goals of clean and plentiful water and the protection and restoration of the Salish Sea can best be accomplished through strong, collaborative partnerships. We want to connect with other organizations working on water issues in Skagit County to learn and share information and generate new and innovative projects and ideas!
