To bring voluntary, incentive-based natural resource solutions to citizens of Skagit County and beyond by providing technical, financial and educational resources.
Primary Programs/Projects
The Skagit Conservation District’s primary programs and projects are a mix of activities which protect and improve Skagit County’s resources. Examples of these include: watershed planning and implementation; riparian restoration and enhancement; forest stewardship; wildlife habitat restoration; conservation education; protection and preservation of prime farmland; and technical assistance to landowners to help them improve and protect water quality.
Reason for Participating on the Skagit Watershed Council
The SWC provides a coordinated and collaborative voluntary implementation process of fisheries restoration.
