Alma serves as Office Manager for the Skagit Watershed Council. She brings experience in administration, operations, nonprofit support, and small-scale agriculture, with a professional background that includes community organizations, flower farming, and manufacturing. She holds a B.A. in Art from Humboldt State University (now Cal Poly Humboldt).
A longtime resident of Fir Island, Alma is deeply connected to the landscapes, waterways, and agricultural communities of the Skagit Valley. She enjoys supporting mission-driven work that strengthens both people and place and is grateful to contribute to the stewardship of the Skagit watershed. Outside of work, Alma is an artist and writer whose creative practice explores memory, landscape, and the relationship between people and the natural world. She enjoys painting, gardening, hiking, and exploring local shorelines with her family.
