Scottie has a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a Certificate of Gerontology from Western Washington University. She has lived in the Skagit Valley for the past 35 years and has worked as an Office Manager for Skagit Pediatrics and Skagit Valley College Foundation.
Scottie has been employed by the Watershed Council since 1999 as support staff and office manager and has enjoyed helping to move the Council’s mission forward since its early days. In particular, she enjoyed organizing the River Processionals which got people out on the river to gain an understanding of the importance of preserving Skagit salmon.
Scottie enjoys hiking, travel, and time spent with friends and family. She also serves on the board of the Skagit River Salmon Festival and the Skagit Council on Aging (SCOA).
