Dan has spent the last 25 years working for the U.S. Forest Service in Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and Washington. During that time, he received his master’s degree in ecology from Colorado State University and has worked as a wildlife biologist, a certified silviculturist, monitoring and adaptive management specialist, forest management advisor to the governments of Colombia and Peru, and most recently as the shared stewardship coordinator focused on restoration partnerships on the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.
“A central pillar of my life has been to be of service to others. While I have had the extraordinarily good fortune to be in positions where I could help steward some of the most beautiful landscapes in the country, my greatest joy has come from helping those who want to do good work. I offer myself as an information conduit between the Skagit Watershed Council and Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest leadership. I would also be honored to use my experience and skills on behalf of the SWC to help protect and restore this critically important watershed, while supporting its sustainable use.”
