Mission Hamilton strives to protect and maintain our rural community while adapting to an ever-changing world.
Primary Programs/Projects As a small municipality, we have fairly typical programs to maintain basic services to our residents. In the last few years, the town has put in place planning and programs necessary to reduce damages from flooding, including expanding our Urban Growth Area out of the floodplain. More recently, we are exploring projects to implement innovative and practical solutions for Hamilton’s long-term coexistence with the Skagit River.
Reason for joining the Skagit Watershed Council The Town of Hamilton seeks to protect and encourage diverse habitats along our area of the Skagit River while protecting our community from floods.
