Habitat Work Schedule
The Habitat Work Schedule (HWS) is a project mapping and tracking database for Washington State’s Salmon Recovery Lead Entities and their partners. The HWS system brings together Lead Entity habitat projects in one place. It enables natural resource professionals, project funders, and the public to follow past, current, and proposed projects from concept through implementation and then, once complete, into the monitoring phases. This leaves a legacy of local and statewide salmon recovery efforts and creates a better coordinated salmon recovery effort.
The Skagit’s HWS database is being developed to plan and track the contribution of each restoration project to the recovery goals for Chinook salmon. At this time only SRFB funded projects and those contributing to the Skagit Chinook recovery goals are in the database.
Skagit projects can be accessed by clicking here », and the statewide HWS database can be accessed here ». One can search projects by name, region, Lead Entity, project category, or status. Alternately, one can browse a list of projects, a hierarchy of project folders or mapped project locations. Projects are continuously added, and data is updated frequently, so check back often, or contact our staff or project sponsors for more information.
